“Holy Health, Wholly Health” - - Rev. Mereschuk - - January 29, 2017

We might read about diseases and cures in Biblical times and think they're a little funny given what we know now about medical science - - but were our ancient ancestors in the faith on to something? In his sermon, "Holy Health, Wholly Health," Acting Pastor Rev. Chris Mereschuk suggests that our faith plays a critical role in our health (Luke 5:12-16).

This podcast contains original music by our Minister of Music Jeff Olmsted.

“For I am convinced…” - - Rev. Mereschuk - - January 22, 2017

When God's name is invoked to endorse nationalism, it poses a great danger to both the country and Christianity. Building on the January 15th sermon, "Voices of Faith, Voices of Justice," Acting Pastor Rev. Chris Mereschuk offers ways to use one's faith in God to strengthen one's voice for justice, holding fast to God (Romans 8:18-26, 35-39). A note about this sermon: We held an extended "Sermon Response Time" where the congregation was invited to share their own thoughts, reflections, and testimonies. Out of respect for privacy, these responses are not included in the podcast. Many responses spoke to experiences of solidarity and glimmers of hope resulting from the Women's March and the sister marches, noting the importance of community.

The intro music for this podcast is an original composition by our Minister of Music Jeff Olmsted.
